En janvier dernier, quatorze jeux estampillés Disney avaient disparu de Steam du jour au lendemain, sans préavis ni communiqué. Voilà que le géant américain du divertissement réitère : un nouvel ensemble de quinze titres appartenant à Disney vient d’être retiré de la plateforme de Valve. En cumulant avec la première vague de janvier, ce sont désormais vingt-neuf jeux qui ont été retirés de la vente en l’espace de quelques mois à peine, et ce sans aucune explication.

Vous l’aurez peut-être remarqué, pour PowerWash Simulator 2, FuturLab a choisi de voler de ses propres ailes. À l’édition, on ne retrouvait donc plus Square Enix, comme c’était le cas pour le premier opus. Mais la fin du partenariat est aujourd’hui entièrement consommé, et cela va avoir un impact sur deux packs gratuits très appréciés.

Avant que ses sorties ne deviennent rarissimes en raison d’ambitions toujours plus démesurées mais aussi de la dictature du jeu-service, Rockstar Games fut un studio aussi prolifique que surprenant. La génération PS2 en est la meilleure illustration : outre la trilogie GTA, c’est au milieu des années 2000 que sont parus des titres comme Manhunt, The Warriors et Canis Canem Edit, sans oublier l’improbable Table Tennis sur Xbox 360. Crimson Desert is, in many ways, exactly the type of game I’ve been waiting for.It’s got the enormous, sprawling setting of, say, an Assassin’s Creed title, minus the laundry list of quests that often cause me to burn out on Ubisoft’s massive open-world games.
